Tubing in Vang Vieng: Part 2

Click here to read Part 1 of this post if you haven't already.

After returning from the lagoon, we took a different road north out of Vang Vieng. This one was paved, which made for much easier riding, and the scenery here was even more spectacular.

Back in town, it was getting late so we decided to do some tubing. We rented tubes and took a tuk-tuk to the first bar.
Watching tubers make their way down the river.

Before heading down to the river ourselves, we played a game of beer pong with some fellow partygoers.

Reaching the second bar.

At bar 2 we sat, drank cocktails and chatted with strangers.

Time for Bar 3!

Bar 3 was probably the craziest and the most fun, with loud music and a stage to dance on.

There was also a basketball court, which we played on.

Back onto the tubes, one last time.

At Bar 4 we played an even longer game of basketball. Angela got to show off some skills that she hasn't lost since high school, and we both cut up our legs a little. Having drunk our share of alcohol, and tired ourselves out with tubing and basketball, we soon took a tuk-tuk back to our hostel.

That was the end of our tubing experience, which, rather than being a crazy, drunken mess, turned out to be surprisingly relaxed for the most part. The next day we took yet another bus south, this time to Laos' capital, Vientiane.
