Passing an ornate mosque on our way to the Batu Caves just on the outskirts of the city. |
Before visiting the Batu Caves, we also saw a nearby Hindu cave overlooked by this monkey god (possibly Hanuman?). |
There were also plenty of real monkeys around. |
Entering the cave. |
Then it was time to see the more impressive Batu Caves. |
As you climb the steps up to the cave you see hundreds of monkeys scurrying around and begging for food. |
After the Batu Caves we returned to the city and visited Sunway Pyramid, a huge mall designed in ancient Egyptian style. |
Chinese for dinner. |
Heading back to our hotel via busy streets. |
From Kuala Lumpur, we took a bus north to our next destination: Tanah Rata, a small town in the Cameron Highlands. We'd end up staying there a lot longer than planned, but that is a subject for the next post.
