A Return to Lotte World

Angela and I recently revisited the world's largest indoor theme park, Lotte World, with some friends during our Chuseok holiday. Earlier this year, we made the mistake of visiting the park on a saturday, when the park was overcrowded with three-hour-long queues that we were just not willing to join. So, we thought we'd return during Chuseok - when families are supposed to be at home, sharing their feasts - and hopefully avoid the busy atmosphere of the weekends. It turned out it wasn't quite as quiet as we were hoping, but we did get to ride on all the rollercoasters that we missed out on last time, so it was a successful trip overall. Here are some pics I took along the way.

Despite being over a month away, Halloween was already being celebrated inside the park.
Playing with some touchscreen things while manatees stare at us.

Group shot: Andrew, Joe, Lauren, Lindsey, Angela and myself.
Exploring the outside section: Magic Island.

This was the first ride we went on: a tall elevator with a fast-paced three-second drop. It was pretty intense, especially for those of us who were hungover!
The Gyro Swing: one of the most disorientating rides I've ever been on. It flings you around like a ragdoll for a good minute or so.

Back inside, admiring a stage show.

And outside again. This was our favourite roller-coaster.

This guy entertained us with some magic tricks while we lined up.
We waited a while to ride this large indoor roller coaster, The French Revolution. Short and not particularly fast, it was a bit of a disappointment.
